This is a journal of my travels throughout the American west, which is a stunning collection of deserts, mountains, rivers, lakes, valleys, canyons and other scenic wonders that have to be seen to be appreciated. Here, I'll try to describe the events that unfold day-to-day but, more importantly, show these places with pictures.
During this time, I'll be living in this 16-foot fiberglass trailer. It's not as cramped as it looks and has a refrigerator, stove, sink, toilet, shower and microwave. All in all, it's pretty comfortable and I spend most of my time outside anyway.
May, 2007. Some small changes in my travel mode are in order. I've replaced the Scamp with a Little Guy teardrop trailer, for reasons that still aren't clear to me. I guess I'm trying to get more of a camping feeling and less of an RV feeling. In any case, this is what I'll be moving about the country in this summer.
Several people have emailed me recently asking if I live in these trailers year around. Well, no. I have a larger trailer (I guess that still makes me trailer park trash) that I leave parked in Yuma, AZ at the Cocopah RV and Golf Resort. I spend the winter months here and travel in the summer.
